Was brush hogging some super thick briars that had totally covered these trees. Noticed they were loaded with fruit. These are wild plum right? I haven't seen fruit on them much in the past. Hopefully if I clear off the briars they will produce better.

Set a blind up facing that tree - better than corn. I hunted a place in OK and we set up blinds near both wild plum and persimmon trees. Every year, the best deer were taken from these blinds.

Makes great jelly and takes a lot of sugar but has a sweet and tart flavor, just watch for chiggers, wasp nest and snakes that show up looking for the mice feeding on fallen fruit. food

Great find! On an old lease we discovered an apple and plum orchard close to a long past homestead. Only a few of the trees were producing and some held fruit until fall for some reason. Biggest buck taken off that lease was in that old orchard.
