Do you like the plain older model for 10.5 k
Or larger motor , doors etc for 12k

Look for a left over from last years model. Then you can upgrade to mule pro for cheaper.

The Pro's are more than worth the extra. Much more comfortable machines. Both are very capable.

I've had a diesel Mule Pro since November 2017. It has been through mud, climbed mountains loaded down, worked in 7° and 107°. All 4 independent suspension, makes for a great ride, and it will carry a whole bunch of weight. I cannot say enough good things about it. Get the Mule Pro, you will not regret it.

Plain older... Too much "stuff" to fix on the new ones... If you are storing at a ranch something to think about..New wiring can run easily 800 if the mice get to it.. I like knowing to get in 4x4 its shiftable..not electronic...I dont mind the ride on the weekends...I have a 2010 Trans Mule.. The only thing I have changed is the oil every 75 hrs...If I was driving daily go with the newer....

I have a '14 610 and work the crud out of it. It is simple, no cab, windshield, etc. The only changes I've made are a soft top and gun rack. Oil change every year and about time to replace the original battery. Has about 200 hours on it and even though it is usually very muddy, when I clean it up it looks pretty good. I've hauled feed, blind materials, rock/dirt, and every other thing imaginable in it around our place. Rarely need 4 WD even in muddy conditions, and have not yet gotten it stuck, although I have been close. Slimed the tires as we are covered in mesquite and they all leak a bit, but not enough that I worry too much about it.

I like being able to spray and also seed from the bed of the mule as opposed to using my tractor. Just easier. Air cooled and I do notice if working it hard at slow speeds it will get pretty hot. Mostly when seeding.

If you hunt/work in rough, rocky country, get the Mule Pro. It rides so much smoother than the older solid axle models. The Pro can carry and pull more weight as well.

I've never owned a two seater but have run a Gas 4010 and a Pro DX. The DX is a strong and reliable workhorse deluxe where the 4010 was just a workhorse. I would not even consider a 4010 unless it was a diesel. They may have changed up the fuel injection system on newer 4010's but the last one I had was a 2010 model and it gave me trouble.

We've had 2510s, 610s, 3010s, 4010s and now Pro mules, the Pro FTX is by FAR the best machine. The only ones we ever had any problems with was throttle bodies on the 4010s, but the Pro mules run and ride sooo much smoother than all the previous models. We currently have one 610, one single seat Pro and three double seat Pro transmules and they have all been VERY good machines.

In the past my son and I have tried John Deere, Kubota, Polaris and Yamaha. Kawasaki is superior to all of them.

I loved both mules I had and the FXT was a huge upgrade. The only problem I had was rodents chewing the main wiring harness to shreds 3 times!!!
