Pulled this off of a Remington 788 I bought this morning. Thought it was Leupold, but there are no markings of any manufacturer. Any ideas? Thinking it has been on the rifle since 1980, but not sure.

I’ll take a stab at redfield. They are now the same company but even before they shared a lot.

all that said, I need a good mount for this rifle. I got a feeling it's going to be a great shooter, came with Timney trigger, carbine length in .308.

Looks like a one piece Leupold to me. Dovetailed in front. Windage screws in back.

Like others have said they are Redfield. Those rings are extension rings used for short scope tubes and sometimes used for getting eye relief correct. Usually you will only see one extension ring used at a time though.

These were on a rifle I bought, not a fan and didn't want to throw them away. The rifle they fit has been out of production about 35 years (Rem. 788). I have them on EBay. Bidding is pretty good, I'm surprised.
