Does anybody make a powerful hand mixer? I want a hand mixer with the power of a quality power tool. The cheapest mixer made will make a cake. I like to make cookies, thick cookies. I want a hand mixer that will mix sack mix concrete.

I've made cookies with a single beater in a Makita drill. That doesn't work very well

I don't know the all of the real reasons as to why, but when making cookies it is important to not over mix the ingredients. Bakeries use mixers, but use dough hooks, not the egg beater type og mixing equipment. But somehow the power mixing breaks down the ingredients in a negative way. This is one of the reasons in a lot of recipes there is a comment to "not over mix" the ingredients. batter is different and

Is that important? I have a semi commercial type of mixer, when lazy I will use it, the cookie batter is creamier and the batter doesn't bake the same. Does it ruin them? No, but the are a little different in texture. About the only cookies we bake anymore is a recipe for peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, my shoulder is too messed up to mix by hand, so the mixer gets used.
