Haven't been to Bandera in the last 30+ years. Is OST still there? It used to have decent food.

The Forge is good. The OST so you can say you were there. There is a little place about 2 miles out of town on HWY 16 toward Medina that is pretty good. Camp Verde store at Camp Verde is nice.
