I have the Sightron STAC 4-20X50mm. It is a very good scope for the money. It tracks perfectly, glass is clear and bright, turrets clicks are crisp and positive. It has capped turrets which I like and has a reticle in 2 MOA increments and it came with a heavy duty scope cover. The only drawbacks are no zero stop and the reticle is thin and can be hard to see in low light. The turrets can be a bit of a pain to set, they have 3 very small allen set screws that have to be loosened/tightened but are rock solid once set. I think I paid a little over $400 making it a best buy IMHO.

Needed to include Premier and Athlon in that test.

Buzz. You are scope snob. No way you would buy any of those.

I've heard the Sightron is really a nice scope. I have looked through the Strike Eagle 1-6 and didn't like it at all. I thought the 1-8 was much better optically and i would consider it for sure.

I can't imagine the Bushnell Nitro is competitive with any of those....

I'd like to seem someone do this at a slightly higher price point with the same criteria. I myself know what I want if I had $3k but I'm much more lost, and ironically likely, to make like a $1500 scope purchase first.

Names I'd like to see compared: Trijicon's longer range, Primary Arms Platinum, an Athlon at a similar price, the higher priced Bushnell, etc.

I'm a dude who likes long barrels!
