We spent 9 days hiking and fishing the various lakes up in that area. I can’t wait until the snow melts enough where we can get back. I have over 100 pics from this trip. If you and your son are ever there in the summer and need a place to shower and a clean bed for the night, just drop by. I have a cabin in Pagosa Springs and I spend all of June & July there.
It is truly some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen.

This is Conejos Peak in the background which is quite a ways south of wolf creek pass along the continental divide. Mostly catching cutthroats and yeah that’s beetle kill in the trees as it is pretty bad in the area.
