Looking at getting a Thermal scope , putting it on either a bolt action 22-250 or level action 22 mag
What is your thought ??

First, what are you hunting? For yotes, either caliber will work. But if the lever gun has a low cheek mount (like most do) and with a thermal scope that sits 3" higher, shooting the lever gun would make for bad ergonomics for shooting. That would make it a 22-250.

most of them are setup to run on ARs
Pulsar is now offering some that use normal 30mm rings for a traditional bolt action.. The European market is large and they don't use ARs

Ccoker is right. Most thermals are really designed for AR's but the new Pulsar Thermions should solve that problem. I'd definitely go with the 22-250 if you are hunting anything larger than coons, possums etc. I'm not saying a .22mag won't kill a larger animal, I'm just saying the 22-250 is going to provide a much larger success rate at longer ranges on larger animals.

I put mine on my 223, mainly looking at chicken thief's like raccoons, bobcats and coyotes.

It's not which rifle for a Thermal, it's which rifle for what I'm hunting? You can hunt with a Thermal on a 870 pump shotgun as SapperTitan does. You can put a Thermal on just about anything you want to hunt with.

Pulsar is not now offering some thermal (the Thermion) that use 30mm scope rings. Pulsar WILL BE offering this scope in a few months (if they make their release date of "late summer 2019), but does not offer it right now here in the US.

Of only those two choices, gotta go with the 22-250 for anything of size. The real question is what are you hunting? With the new Bobro mounts, Pulsar and Trijicon are comfortable on bolt guns. The new Thermion line mounts in regular 30mm scope rings. Great option also for bolt guns if you're not needing it right away and don't mind waiting til the release.
