A first for me. A Canada Goose pair flew in here a couple of months ago. She built a nest and they hatched Saturday. I would never have thought she would keep the nest long enough. But I have been working hard on the predators so maybe that helped. Amazing

Five of them. If I find a turtle has gotten one there will be hell to pay. Turtles better spread the word to leave the little Gooses alone.

Baby geese are goslings.

They are my Gooses. I call them like I want. The first time for me to have any here. It is amazing how protective the pair are of the baby Gooses. I get within a couple hundred yards of them and they go into the hiding mode.

I just put 12 6 inch bass in the tank about 4 months ago. I don't believe they are a problem yet. As mean as the big Gooses are they might whip the bass anyway.

Pretty neat having them around. Maybe they will come back every year now.

That's pretty neat. She looks like she is on guard in that first photo ready to get something. Thanks for sharing and hope you can continue to get photos and post their progress.

Good on you! Enjoy!! To heck with the spelling Police. If they don’t like it, they can ignore the post.

I like the baby gooses. They hatch every year at Highport Marina. It's interesting watching their different stages of growth. I bet there's a hundred every year out there. And the big gooses will get to watching a group of about 20 baby ones. They look like school teachers for gooses, lol. I'm easily entertained too.

Mmmm Hmmm

That is really neat Don. Thanks for sharing, you have a nice place, living in New Mexico I envy anyone with water on there place. Hopefully she comes back for years to next, and some of her little ones might come back and nest also.
