What a cool rifle! Were they issued with the vertical grip like that?

That is cool. Very unique piece of hardware and curious what the optics look like for a time period rifle like that.

Do you reload? That rifle looks like the absolute perfect justification to do hand loads...

The rifles originated from M96 service rifles that were specially selected for superior accuracy. Mine is dated 1919 with all serial numbers matching including the scope mount. Ajack 4x90 scope is original and dated 1942. Sling and low sight hood are original accessories for the rifle as well. Reticle picture for reference is very old from a crappy camera. In person it is as clear as any scope. Not pictured, I have the original scope can as well. Not only is it my favorite to shoot. It is the pride of my collection. For those that collect military C&Rs this one was hand picked years ago by Dennis Kroh from the Samco imports. I am protective of it so though not often, I do hunt with it.

When I had my place and shot a lot, had many rifles and pistols of a lot of calibers. This was a hog Killing due and at 150 to 200 yards was a killer. PSL 7.62x54R. Cheap to shoot with surplus ammo. [Linked Image]
