Anyone planning on going this weekend? Heard from.a friend of mine and vendor that it's really gone down hill.
Shoot me a PM and let me know if you don't mind and let me know.

Gun shows are soon to be a thing of the past. Just a bunch of dealers who are stuck with guns they bought 3-4 years ago. WAY over priced. All the independent tables, used guns, priced higher than new. The rest is all junk, even Market Hall. They sell a table to anyone.
Now, if Trump loses in 2020, there will be mayhem at the gunshows, selling anything that shoots as fast as they can. Ammo will disappear again.
Then in another year gun shows will be illegal

No....I only go to the two Mesquite shows nowadays. Funny private dealer story...friend was selling a 9mm Ruger Security 9 brand new in the box. Dealer gave him $200. Before we left the show he had it marked $375. They sell new for $299 everywhere. The next month he still had it at $350.
I only go for ammo from two dealers who do not overcharge.

We went to the one in January the place was only half full. We enjoyed the day and looked at all the stuff got our ammo for the year and left. If you want to kill some time go for it.

Only reason dealers go to gun shows is so they can post someone at the door to get the guy who don’t know what his gun is worth to sell it to them..

This makes me sad. I use to look forward to the Market Hall show and the old show in the Astro Hall in Houston. All good things do come to an end. All the more reason for us to encourage everyone we know to vote. We are fighting for our lives folks.

I was there. Worst I have ever seen. If they would have moved all the junk out and had guns only, it may have filled 1/4 of the room up. Talked to several sellers, they blame it on internet sells and of course Trump being in office. No panic to buy. They have already cancelled one show next year, 4 shows instead of 5. Matter of time and this show is done.

I never understood why they would schedule a gun show on opening weekend of Deer season.

I used to enjoy the Fort Worth ones. Then, price of parking got expensive as did the fee to get in. Inside, used guns were more than NIB. So, it cost over $30 to look at used guns. If I wanted some thing specific, I might go but I already have more than my safe will hold.
Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.
