Been using resins for a while to embed things in and then turn on the lathe. Did some experimenting and made these. I think they’re pretty cool, going to try some rifle rounds next.

Those are cool! We have a roll of 1970 shiny pennies in a perfectly round sphere about the size of a baseball. I don't know who made it or where. A customer gave it to us and said he found it at a garage sale. It's quite the conversation piece.

Mmmm Hmmm

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I’m going to perfect it, then may consider placing a few for sale, but as of right now they’re not the quality I’d expect if I were to sell them.

I’ve actually got a jeweler friend cleaning up some old buffalo nickels with which I’m going to make a large table centerpiece. I’ve always thought embedded coins were kind of cool looking.

That ought to be cool with the nickels! Look forward to seeing pics of it when you're done.
