Is it an upgrade over the 40 year old RCBS rockchucker I already have?

Get a Forster Co-Ax and be done with it.

Wish I would have skipped from a single stage press right to it, and missed the turret press step. Technically, it it still a single stage, therefore great ammo. But it is two seconds to switch dies. Hornady lock rings on all dies, and you are good to go.

Count ALL the dies you have for everything. It adds up quick!

It’s a ton faster than a single stage. It’s not on the same level as a progressive by any means, but 200 rounds an hour is doable. It cuts down on all the handling time you have with a single stage.

Edit: does the Lyman auto index? I had “Lee” in my head writing all this.

Depends on which Turret press it is from Lyman. I have one of the old Spar-T Presses and it does fine with pistol rounds but runout is a lot more on rifle rounds than the Single stage presses and accuracy does suffer some from that. I only keep it around for handgun reloading where it is setup for the 2 I load the most.

The Mag-T is a good press without the "slop" found in their older Spat-T press.
