Most of the beans I've seen on the first page of this forum look as if you should eat them with a spoon. I like my brand jelled up. I season them, top them with bacon and bake them in the over at 350° for just under an hour. They come out looking like this. How do you bake your beans?

I wasn`t going to say anything but you brought it up. Yes, we talked about this before but evidently Bill likes talking about baked beans so we are going to go over this again. You didn`t post anything last time, so maybe he`s just giving you and everyone else another chance... LOL... By the way, baked beans are one of my favorite summertime foods.

Start with 2 cans van camps pork and beans
Add:
Sautéed chopped onions
Sauteed chopped jalapeno(De-seeded)
1-lb bacon(cooked and chopped)
ketchup
Mustard
Worchester sauce
Brown sugar
Garlic powder(if you really like garlic use fresh chopped and sautéed)

Bake in 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes.

Enjoy!!

Right. I've posted it before but not as much as I see the smoked brisket threads. The runny beans triggered this thread. How do you eat your beans? Out of the can in the in the microwave like this? Notice the spoon.

Sounds as if you have never had them done right.

I like to add some cooked breakfast sausage and Worcester sauce to mine. Mustard, catsup, brown sugar, chopped green onion, topped with bacon and bake.

When you use a can of baked beans and then bake them again with your added ingredients, do they in fact become double baked beans?

I have two racks in my smoker and when I do a brisket, I put my pan of beans under the brisket to catch all the drippings. Outstanding flavors and horrible for your heart but tasty wins every time.
