Use celery salt, half bottle of store brand Italian dressing, sugar, and balsamic vinegar.

Cucumbers, purple onion and quartered Roma tomatoes. White vinegar, water (2:3) and a package of Italian dressing mix.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Buzz Try this one. Mom fed us kids on this during the summer when I was young and everything we ate came out of the garden.
Peel and slice cucumbers. Soak in ice water a little while. Slice an onion thin. Drain cucumbers. Open one can of eagle brand condensed milk, mix it with some white vinegar. Pour this over the cucumbers and onions. Add salt and pepper. Put in fridge and chill it a few hours prior to eating. If you are the guy who has a garden, add and mix in a diced homegrown tomato just before serving.
Best cucumber salad I’ve had. Makes me look forward to June when I get to have it again.

We just use white vinegar, full strength, to cover veggies. Peel and slice cucumbers, thin slice onion, a little salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.

My wife uses Zesty Italian dressing and seasons them with a small amount of Tony Chachere's, fresh cracked black pepper and lets them sit in fridge for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors marry. They turn out pretty good.

We just use white vinegar, full strength, to cover veggies. Peel and slice cucumbers, thin slice onion, a little salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. that's the way my dad used to make a cucumber & onion salad but would usually cut cherry tomatoes in half or quarters, or wedges from larger tomatoes.

I will slice the cukes thin and then let them lay flat with some salt on them for awhile. Then press with a wire strainer to remove as much water as possible. Then in a bowl combine cukes, onions, sour cream and vinegar. German recipe that isn’t bad.

try using seasoned rice wine vinegar and 1 package of sweet and low.... world of difference Yeah that's how we have traditionally done.
