Man made crappie tree , what do you have

Buddy that works at Mckinney Dodge gets christmas trees on the 26th and stores them till we put them down. Have 12 trees to go down in the next week or so.

What about under water green lights? Do you know anything about those since you no nothing about diy trees

Drop the boat and the fish leave. They are blue and you are supposed to be observant... I give you a crappie spot and you give me hell. SMDH... Make them out of PVC you knuckle head. The moss makes them beneficial

I spent many years fishing a family boathouse on Texoma. The problem we noted with christmas trees is they rotted away pretty fast and this was long before people knew about pvc contraptions people like to build. The best thing we found was to cut down whole cedar trees to use as they lasted much longer than christmas trees. We would hammer a few very large nails partially into the trunk. Then plant the trunks in buckets of cement so that when they are lowered into the water they stay standing upright. In theory hooks would slide up the limbs rather than stay hung up and I believe this worked most of the time if lines or fish got into the tree. It worked very well for us. I caught crappie over them every summer from my childhood to my young adult years. Miss those times.

I use cedars in my ponds/tanks. Hey generally last about 3 years.

Any kind of poly pipe you have around, 5 gallon buckets and concrete. Try to keep the bucket handles up so you can tie fishing line to them to lower them down and they stand up. Use something that can barely hold the weight so that it breaks easy

If you look online you can find round plastic balls (appox. 12" dia.) with holes in them. All you need then is some 1/2" or what ever size, cut to lenght and glue into the holes. Sorry I can't post a link.

I always seemed to catch them best on willow trees that were sunk

Bamboo, Cedar, willow, oak, pvc whatever, just cut it 6 foot long and stick some in a bucket with concrete, toss em in.

Check out Porcupine Fish Attractors. I put half a dozen of them in a tank on some property we used to own. I swear every time I dragged a plastic worm through them I got a hit.

Ones I made 6 years ago out of PVC. Work good and you don't get hung up on them all the time like you do with brush or trees.

If your neighbors didn't know what you was doing they would think you lost your mind if they looked over your fence.
