up I may have to try one of those someday. 'Wish they'd at least start the Buccee's by my house (Boerne), but the highway's been under construction for years in front of the site, and there doesn't seem to be any end in sight. realmad It's more convenient to get stuff in Kerrville on the way to the ranch instead of fighting the mess that is Boerne nowadays.

So I have had one for over a year (can't remember exactly). Just refilled the whole thing as it was empty and not the motor isn't throwing. New battery. I here a faint click-click-click (3 second timer). Any ideas issue?

Does the timer have a battery(s) in it? Did you change or check the battery in timer?

Good question. The timer has power (I can run through all of programs, etc.), but not sure if it needs a new battery to help the spinner. I will need to check in the morning.

I know when the 12v battery is low, "The Timer" I have in my feeders will click. I have had brand new batteries that showed fully charged but when I load tested them they were not good. With the 2 AA batteries in "The Timer" my feeder will still work, just can't read or set "The Timer". Also spin the spinner plate to make sure it is not hung up or clogged or the motor is seized up.

Jumper the motor straight to the battery and see if it spins, or swap the timer with another feeder if you have another one. Motor spins; bad timer, motor doesn't spin; bad motor. New batteries aren't always full and a lot times the solar will never fully charge them if they are low from the get go.

Also, if you have the solar panel attached to the timer harness in full sun you will see solar panel function, not necessarily battery function. Make sure to unplug the solar panel when checking battery life.

up

I bought one about 4 months ago and it hasn't missed a beat. Although it is not 'The Timer' that comes with it and I have heard some guys say they don't like this particular timer I've had no problem yet and it has kept very good time and not missed a feeding. I know several other guys running these feeders and the only trouble they've had was with the early ones when they first came out. The wires leaving the feeder housing to the motor were not sleeved and simply run though a knocked out hole and the vibration shorted them out. Now ASF has put in a conduit sleeve instead so that problem should be fixed for good with these newer ones.

I'm pretty sure this is the timer they come with

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Denton location is well stocked. They had 17 that I saw on my corn and ice run.

Ramball your feeders are worth it. Mine will go to the grandkids when they take over the ranch. Also, with the wets coming through these days, they can't get into mine because of the hasp I had you put on them. The others I find with lids off etc. and either empty or soaked because they didn't put the lids back on them.

Thanks.

Frio

Does anyone know if that actually will work and how quick and current a reply would be?
Im only guessing, but if they wont take time to answer a phone, I would be surprised that they could take time to answer an onslaught of emails.

I tried to email once about a certain item if it was in stock. I never got a reply.
