How practical are trail cam card readers when you have a thousands of pictures to go through?

I have been using a lap top but have been thinking of buying a card reader.

I have one and have accessed 100+ at a time but not nearly as good as a computer screen. In a pinch, it will work

They last for awhile but not as good as a laptop.

I use a card reader that can plug into my phone or iPad. Works pretty well.

I bought a card reader that plugs into my Android phone. Not as good as a laptop or TV because of the screen size but better than a store bought chip reader and the phone is always with me.

I have a Stealth Cam Card Reader LINK that I put an extender adapter for my phone. Only reason for the extender is due to my phone case and ipad case. It works pretty good, but not near as fast as using a laptop. My dad has a Boneview I think, and it does basically the same thing.

On my Android SD card adaptor I found that using the built in "My Files" app I was not able to swipe through from picture to picture. I downloaded an app called "X-plore" that does allow me to swipe from picture to picture.

They don't work well if you put them through the washing machine!

In all seriousness if you've got 50-100 pictures to go through they're fine and convenient. Going through 1,000's of pictures it's easier to lug around a laptop.

I use my Canon Power Shot camera to scan thru the pictures at the ranch, then my home computer to save the ones I want to keep.

Nice little machine, got it for Christmas. VERY easy to use.

Most I've looked at is 400, didn't slow it down any, loaded up quick.
