Really like the 6.5 Grendel so I picked up bolt mini action. Wondering who else has one and how are you using it and what type scope,
Thinking based on size it would be a good truck gun
Now I lay me down to sleep
Besides my bed a Sig I keep
If I should wake to you inside
A corners van will be your last ride

Don't have the mini action but do have a RAP and it's my favorite rifle at the moment! Fun caliber to shoot and accurate.

Take it you have the Howa.
I have a CZ from before anyone was chambering a boltaction in the Grendel.
So between 3 o us we have examples of the boltactions I know of being chambered in the Grendel now.
There are some ,modifications to the Howa many owners are doing. DIP INC offers a metal bottom metal for it. Mag release mods so it is less likely to dump the mag and a few more things.

Did you buy the bare Howa action from Brownells? If so which stock did you put on it? Wanting to get one, and cant decide between the Howa and Ruger. Heard the Ruger with AR mags really gouges brass, any comment javman?

If I were doing the barreled action Howa I would most likely go with the LSS chassis. there are oterh options now with more to come for the owa Mini including a few from Boyds.

What are the magazine options for these chastises for howa mini actions?

The MDT LSS takes the factory Howa mag. The DIP bottom metal is for factory howa mags. Pretty sure the CDI bottom metal takes AICS mags. I kinda wanted to do a howa with MDT and folding stock. Got a SWFA HD 3-9 waiting for this build. If I just decide which rifle.

It is the Howa, had my gun shop order it for me. I have several 3x9 scopes left over from previous guns, thought I would start with one of them and head for the range
