Northern Manitoba Premier Cast and Blast. Fly-In Fishing/Black Bear Hunt Combo.

We hosted a trip up here last year and everyone had such a good time, that we are doing it again this year (2019). Last year was a 5 day package, but this year, we've made a deal for a 7 day package. We've also thrown in the cost of the bear tag, the hunter allocation fee, the fishing license and taxes in the total cost for this years trip to make it easier.

This trip is a Hosted Hunts Exclusive.
We have the entire camp to ourselves for the week and are taking a total of 16 clients. 10 have confirmed spots with deposits as of today. Only 6 spots left.
The price shown here is only valid for the week of this trip. Other dates are available for 2019, but at the normal lodge rates.
Price is the same whether one is hunting, fishing, or doing both.

Dates are:
June 8-15th, 2019

Located in the Canadian Shield, approximately 500 miles north of Winnipeg Manitoba, this premier lodge is the only lodge situated on this 60,000 acre/70 mile long pristine lake. No road access here, strictly fly in only.

The Fishing:
This premier lake commonly yields some of the biggest fish in Manitoba, including 20- to 30-pound-plus northern pike, 30-pound-plus lake trout, and 4 to 6-pound walleyes. Fishing will be fully guided and done out of 18 foot aluminum boats with a casting deck/40hp motors. All fishing will be catch and release. The only fish that will be kept are for shore lunch.

The Bear Hunting:
The last manager at the lodge, who is no longer with them (new manager early 2018), never really pushed the spring black bear hunts, even though he should have. Most of the bear hunting that was done, was in the fall, in conjunction with their fall moose hunts.......if time allowed or as an incidental. Due to this, hardly any bear have been harvested in the last 5 years. The bears have actually become a nuisance at a lot of the outposts they have and they are worried about the calf (moose) population. They need to take some bears out! If patient, hunters should expect bears in the 5 ½-6 ft. range with larger bears a real possibility. Color phase bears are also present. Hunts will be baited and you will hunt out of ladder stands (evening hunt). Good chance that bears will also be seen out of the boat while fishing. Bear tags are limited so act fast if interested in the hunting option.

Last year we had 2 different groups at this lodge. The one trip had 6 clients with all clients hunting and fishing. 4 out of the 6 took bears. Of the 2 that didn't harvest, 1 passed on multiples (has taken bear in the past) and the other hunter wounded/lost his bear. Our other group was a family of 4 and of the 4, 2 were hunting. Both took very nice bear.
