How many acres are needed to make an animal "Free Range"? What if the hunted animals don't jump fences? Is it the same amount then? Does the fence height remain the same on any animal or is it according to how high an animal can jump?

If the animal can’t jump a fence it’s not a free range animal?

The animals live in a free country right..............then they all are free ranging..............

Why? Are you just bored this morning? Yes. The 223 caliber thing is worn out so I thought we would do this.

A home range uninhibited by the boundary. I hear if you use a 223 inside a HF pen that its still considered free range due to the inferior weapon.

Turkeys are free ranging inside a high fence.
Wrap your mind around that one
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

If the animal can’t jump a fence it’s not a free range animal? Then I used to be a free range kid?

Turkeys are free ranging inside a high fence.
Wrap your mind around that one If turkey is on the ground it’s a high fence turkey. If turkey is flying it’s free range. I get it now!

Buffalo were HFed over 100 years ago. So a 4 foot fence would be considered a HF to them.

I feel like it's about damn near impossible to find wildlife not geographically isolated by some sort of manmade barrier. Maybe they could cross it and probably they do from time to time, but if nothing else cities and highways in conjunction with natural barriers like rivers and etc.
I would bet a big enough piece of property that is managed right offers better hunting than a smaller high fence place.

A home range uninhibited by the boundary. ^ About the only home range animals in the U.S. are WT and Mule Deer. A couple of types of Elk Prong Horn Antelope and Buffalo. All the exotics were imported. So it seems that all exotics are actually HF even if not confined by one. I don't believe they can swim home.

Some may consider the question to be pot stirring, but I believe it to be a valid one. Is ten million acres under high fence still subject to haughty derision from the anti-HF crowd? Most deer in that scenario would never even see a fence in their lifetime. Where is the line??
