No opt out and too many years worry me. The money doesn’t matter as much. I hope they go get Trout in two years. He is younger and better and is from South Jersey.

A guy like that deserves fans like that. Glad my Braves get to keep playing against him! He hit .249 last year. Just think if the guy could hit!! Still 40 points or more higher than Gallo...

The Harper deal is just crazy at 13 years with no opt outs. I may not ne very smart but I really don't see how these teams can pay that much money for players. Where does the bulk of the money come from. Surely not from attendance to the games. From TV?

What does Gallo have to do with Harper? I don't believe anyone thinks he's made it to Harper talent or money.....yet. Point is someone was taking shots at Harper's low batting average and he's a power hitter similar to Gallo but just at a much higher average than him. Direct similarities in style, but distinct differences in talent. Until Gallo hits above .225 in a season, he won't be taken seriously in the league as a real threat. Too bad for him the shift is still on and not banned as he was hoping for. Learn how to hit it where they aren't.
