I've heard nothing but good on the Apex loads. I bought a box to compare against my hand rolled TSS loads. I know they use a different wad/shot cup than I do.

Are you using Hal's recipes or Tommy's? I am currently usign Hal's Big20xl. I see no need to go with mroe than 1 5/8oz's of shot. I have seen these shells kill turkeys way further than they are intended too. A good buddy of mine developed some of the loads that APEX is using. His name is Robert McCormick. I haven't asked him specifically what is different as I haven't had any issues with what I am reloading, but I am sure there are some differences. I personally never purchased APEX but have several friends that shoot it and it seems to be a good load for an off the shelf purchase.
