Just got a new TA01LAW for something simple on my wife's AR she uses for hunting. In low/no light the red is very dim, almost nothing. I already have a TA01 that is 6 years old and way brighter than this. Anyone have experience with this model? Not sure if the tritium needs replaced or it's just this particular model.

Has it been allowed to soak up light?

No it hasn't..I forgot about that. But my other one is always in the safe and when I take it out it's bright as can be. Does it just need to initially? It is a tritium only model, no fiber optic.

Have not read about Tritium in a long time. Trijicon night sights I put on a Glock 21 years ago said something like 10-20 minutes soaking in light was good for 5-10 years.
