Anyone been out lately? Heard it has been terrible but this is the first year we have paid to go. Will be in Stuttgart area Fri-Sun and weather looks awful. Did we waste our money this year? Lol.

Which outfitter are you using? I have also been looking into going out that way. Good luck on your hunt.

The fields will be very sloppy as it will pizz poor rain 4 days prior to your hunt.
Sunday will be a good day, but fields will still be sloppy.
Call him again Thursday to see if access to the field wont be an issue.
Hunting snows in hard rain is not very enjoyable, let alone setting decoys in deep mudd.
Looking at their facebook, they look pretty legit operation, and im sure he will be pretty honest to you regarding the situation. Hunting snows can be very gratifying and frustrating especially after you throw in mother nature elements at it.

Thanks! We are meeting him at the hotel tomorrow night. Looks like Friday is going to be a wash due to rain now... Saturday there is a strong south wind, but it will be raining until the afternoon. Sunday, no rain but wind indicates out of the north.

Shrug. We shall see I guess.

Yeah, sunday gusting 35 with rain.

Perfect for pass shooting snows if you are on the X

I have done that once in my life in south texas with my dad.

He flew over to see me, and i took him on a goose hunt

We were 5 guys in total, and shot 124 snows and 1 pintail.

All pass shooting geese fighting the wind 20 yards high

It was gusting 30

Best hunt of my life

He died short after

It was with paradise hunting club, appropriate name for it...

I hunted with top gun in Stuttgart last week and it sucked. Other groups were hit and miss. I think Missouri is probably the best option right now.

Conservation season has been rough this year. Barely any juvies. There has also been a large migration north I'm guessing due to the warm weather down south, so a good amount of the birds are holding in Missouri and Illinois. We usually see a couple thousand snow geese flying over campus around this time, but I haven't seen a single goose yet. According to my friends dad who is north of Stuttgart (on the other side of 40), there have been a couple groups, but nothing compared to last season. That north wind could be good though! Good luck on your hunt!

I would cancel the hunt.
The conditions look absolutely miserable, steady rain from Thursday till Saturday Noon.

Crazy weekend, shot a small amount of birds. Guide, friendship and beers were good, had a great time and will try to do it again next year. We probably will not book as far in advance though so we can watch the season progress a bit better.

I was just a little South East of you in Clarksdale, MS. About the same for us. We shot 25 birds in two hunts.

We saw a ton of birds, but they were scattered all over the place. It was just like a repeat of my entire duck season LOL

I just cancelled my 3/9 hunt just south of the MO/AR border. Been pretty miserable apparently.

Hunting in Missouri is not much better. Birds are so widely scattered that you can not predict where they are going to be from one day to the next. Guide just called earlier today and said my hunt next weekend has been cancelled. Everything in the area is frozen/ snow covered. With temperatures in the NEGATIVE 10 range tonite and no days with above 32 predicted until mid next week, the prospects of good hunting are poor at best. Guide gave me the option to delay my hunt by a week or two and see if birds show up. Can’t do that because my schedule is set through May 4th and zero chance of a change. I already have a long time off next weekend. Got in contact with a guy down there to see if I can set up a night hog hunt. Such is the life of a hunter.
