Sitting in my blind overlooking a feeder spot that has been getting hit by hogs pretty regularly lately. Been showing just around sunset and they need to stop doing that. So I am hoping to take a few tonight.
Put out a string of corn straight from my blind so I hope to get the lined up And let em have it. Will keep you posted
Wind is starting to die down. Been breezy most of the afternoon about 10mph with gusts to -5. Temps are not too warm, but not cold either. So weather isn’t hurting me. Winds from south are perfect for My set up
Sorry for the delay in updating...they came. Wasted a bunch of .223 on them and scored several hits.
In the chaos of shooting at all the targets I couldn’t tell how many I hit and how many were getting up And running off. But did drop three I found. Two piglets and an adult. Didn’t even check to see the sex on the adult but looking at the pick it was a baby maker
You know, here in the hog forum, we're kind of partial to videos, helps to establish true cause of death and perpetrator of said action. These could have just tripped and fallen for all we know.
Charlie, you are absolutely correct. I didn’t shoot these I actually blew them up with tannerite. You see how the rear end of those piglets just opened up?
When I walked up on those and saw them each, the scene from platoon came to mind where the crazy white dude beats that poor villager in the head “you ever seen a head come apart like that?” Is all I could think of...didn’t make me sad for the pigs but did make me sad that the scene popped in my head. I don’t hate people enough to think that way, but I do despise pigs enough to think that...

Glad to see you scored, but just sayin'...
But, at least you had pictures. Otherwise,it would all be just hearsay.
Back in the saddle again...not as optimistic but it sure beats sitting in the house, so I am at the same location, same set up. This time hogs aren’t as regular. They have been coming, but today is warm...we’ll see.
Wind is dying down and the sun is hanging just above the trees. Don’t expect any action until dark, but you never know.
So far nothing. Hard to expect anything to show during daylight when there’s mowing, dogs barking, people driving around on dirt bikes and mules...but it’s getting darker....maybe once it’s night time things will come alive
