Just wondering how many others there are out there who hunt with a Sako rifle? I've got them in calibers I use for elk down through prairie dogs and have become totally spoiled to them. I was just doing some informal bench shooting this morning with two friends and all of us were shooting Sakos. It is amazing how accurate these rifles can be. We were knocking over bowling pins regularly at 400 yards. I'm always looking for another one, so if you know where one is at an attractive price drop me a line. I'm especially interested right now in the smaller calibers from .22 Hornet through .223.

My primary deer rifle for over 35 years has been a Sako AV Deluxe .270 Win. My primary mountain rifle is a Finnlight in .300 WSM. I also have a Finnlight in .270 Win. and a Sako AV in .416 Rem. I have been fond of them for quite some time. smile

Oops, forgot about the Mannlicher-stocked Bavarian in 6.5x55 Buzz sold me. Beautiful little rifle!

Sold the one I had about 15 years ago, mistake but oh well. It was never as accurate as my Remington 788 but sure was a smoother action and nice fitting stock. It was a Forester handi hunter carbine in 22-250

One LH AV in .338 Win. with a Mannlicher stock and a Schmidt & Bender on top. It's traveled a long ways with me over the years and taken some fine animals.

As a teenager I lusted after the Sako Finnlight. I saved up the money over a year and purchase one in 30.06. I have hunted with it for the past 20 years. Spent a long time at their booth at SHOT show this year. Next one I buy is the Carbonlight in 6.5 Creedmoor. It’s one sexy rifle.

I have a Sako Lightweight Hunter in 270, but it’s the #2 rifle now behind the Tikka 260. I shot many a deer with that Sako.

Wow! Didn't realize there were so many Sako enthusiasts out there. I've bought most of my Sakos from a little store in Hamlin (north of Abilene) called Bell's Home and Auto. You wouldn't believe the number and variety of Sakos he has for a store in a town of 1,500 population or so. He has most of his Sakos listed on his website, www.sakosource.com

Here's a serious Sako fan, right here! My first "proper" deer rig was a Sako Forester in .243.

Since then, there has been a couple of .223s, a .250 Savage, a .25-06, and a .270. My old warhorse and veteran of four trips to Zimbabwe and Zambia: a Safari Grade .375 H&H. Another tiny AI action became a 6mm-.223. I think that's it. Damned fine rifles.

My first deer rifle was a Sako, got it from my uncle who couldn't hunt anymore. Is a 70's Finnbear in 7 Rem mag. Took my first deer with it and still use it every year. On a great day I can make a clover leaf at 100 yards.

I have a Sako that is about 40 yrs. old. It was rebarreled into a .338-06 AI. Love that gun but don't use it much anymore. Have taken
Elk, mule deer and a Nalgai with it. The muley was about 400 yds and one shot was all that was necessary.

My favorite gun is a Finnlight 243. Also use an A7 270. And my mom is from Hamlin.

My dads was stolen years ago. I found a 222 Sako 5 years ago and bought it. Not been shot a lot recently but fires as good as his did.

Had one in 300 WM and just accidentally bought one in 25-06 after a few too many drinks. Couldn’t pass it up. A good deal is a good deal. Unfortunately it’s wrong handed. I’ll have to give it the reach around.

I have a few...... A 75 Deluxe in 338 Win Mag that I carried when hunting black bear, one of my most accurate rifles. A 75 synthetic stainless in 300 WSM with a classic Zeiss Diavari scope that I stole in the Gander Mountain closing, haven't hunted with it yet but it shoots very well and is very smooth. Last is a TRG-S in 30-378 that is also smooth and shoots great, haven't hunted anything requiring this kind of firepower......plus ammo costs a fortune.

Nah, I pick it up today, kinda excited about it even though it’s wrong handed and absolutely the wrong caliber. Lol

I have a Model 75 Hunter in .270. Absolutely love this rifle.Smooth as glass and very tight groups. Longest kill with it is a Pronghorn at a confirmed 400 yards. Have shot steel at 500 with it. Taken many deer, pigs and turkeys with this one. I have complete confidence in this gun. Would like to have another in some .30 cal plus configuration. Oh, it's a left hander as well.

Nice rifle. I came oh-so-close to buying an A7 Roughtech Range when I bought my CTR.
