Stopped in my local Wally World for other things but always have to check out the CLEARANCE aisle for things I just can't live without ( wink. Besides picking up some Jack Daniels barrel woodchips for $2.00 / bag (got all 3 available), I found TWO bottles of BLACKHORN 209 powder for $25 / bottle. Around here those bottles sell for $38 - $42 each so at minimum I saved $26.

Hard to find much Muzzle Loader supplies around here. WM quit handling altogether and our Gander Mountain store left town. I usually make a trip to Lake Charles right after the season closes and find some good deals, didn't go this year though.

I live just outside of New Orleans. None of the Walmarts in the metro area stock muzzleloader stuff.

But last week on the way to my hunting lease I stopped at a Walmart in the little town of Amite, LA and lo-and-behold . . . .SCORE!

They had five canisters on the shelf when I arrived - but none after I left. grin

Wow bayou. You got an even better deal than I did. Not sure why the Walmart’s are getting rid of this stuff- unless they are planning to no longer carry muzzleloader items like a lot of stores are now doing.
