Probably the warm weather the last week got them thinking about shedding. Other than that they look very good.

I see that hair 'condition' fairly often after deer have been laying in mud/damp spot while bedding.

I harvested a deer with hair similar to that a couple years ago. A buddy that is a TPWD biologist said its not uncommon and to only be worried if it looked like it was falling out.

Several of my does have been looking the same, especially morning pics. I think it's cuz they just woke up and haven't fixed their hair yet.

I have seen it a few times when in the late winter time when we get some really warm days after some real extended cold weather. Also seen it when we had some icy low 20's type weather on some deer. I noticed in a buck that was killed during that time frame and his hair was matted looking like this. He must have backed under a thick cedar for warmth because his coated was matted with cedar resin. I noticed the smell of cedar resin and the gummy feeling on my hands after loading him up.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?
