Knives of Alaska Whitetail Hunter. Mine has held an incredible edge and will do 4-5 deer before it needs resharpening. I prefer a gut hook, although I know others don't.

i quit using a folder for cleaning fish and game some years ago.
i got tired of trying to get blood and muck out of the joint.
for game i use some old hickory boning knives for start to finish
skinning and all. it doesn't take all but 1 or 2 seconds to make a
couple of swipes across a regular steel every few cuts.
professional meat cutters do that, and the knives wash up easy.
i've used some terribly expensive knives for cutting chores, but they
didn't really do anything better than the $10.00 ones.
most of my expensive cutlery got sold off and the money put to
different uses.

as far as the Buck 119's and 110's, everyone should have at least one

This a D2 skinner I made for myself about 10 years ago. It’s been a good deer deconstructor. [Linked Image]
