We just got back from a pig hunt on the 587 ranch in San Saba Texas. Tim and Jason his brother run an absolute first class operation, we could not have been better taken care of. We killed more than our fair share of pigs. Tim makes the hunting a lot of fun. His hunting facilities are very comfortable and hunter friendly. If any of the forum members are looking for a very enjoyable hunting experience we highly recommend the 587 ranch.

Was the hunting done over feeders, spot-and-stalk, or using night vision?

We did all of the above, blind hunting, stalking and using our night vision.

Will second the motion, Tim runs a pleasant little operation. I had fun with him and his brother.

Thanks for the compliments guys. It's been so green I think the hogs are multiplying lately. You guys did good considering you didn't hunt after 10pm or in the mornings. Sure wish Larry and I would have shot that raccoon. We both tried shooting put both of us forgot our safety's were on LOL.

I didn't take many pictures but here are a couple.

Can't get images to load. imgur chaged up it's site..Hmm The first 5 pictures in the link below are from Teds hunt

If anyone wants to hunt hogs let me know. We're set up for archery and rifle. 8 feeders go year round. We try to book a max of one group per month. Only had 2 hog hunters so far in over 6 months. You will see hogs. I need a group of 2-6 for March.

Well it sounds like... well just what it is @ the 587 Ranch. Great guys, great hunting, and just an all around good hunting environment. My wife & I spent a few days with Jason (The Best Guide in TX) and his brother Tim. No problems, no hassles, just a very good hunt. You will not be disappointed!

Hell, I sell hog hunts and sometimes I even think about booking a hunt with Tim!!! grin He's good people and just love his place. A lot different from the East Tx. river bottoms.

Our places are the exact opposite. Only thing the same is lots of hogs. Too many pros/cons to list but east Texas hardwoods and river bottoms sure are different than prickly pear, oaks and cedar trees with rolling terrain!
