Made this one from a Babbitt rasp that I came across a while back. I don't find the often but I think they made a nice looking blade.
It's been heat treated and tempered to HRC 61. Scales are bois d'arc that came out from under a house that was built in 1900. Bronze and copper pins and bronze lanyard tube. It's 9 1/8" overall and 4 3/16" tip to scales. I need to make the sheath for it and then it will be looking for a new home.

Especially how the grooves are between the scales. Looks sweet.

Mike, that blade profile looks to me like it would make a very good kitchen "butcher" knife, with a longer blade. Would you pm me a price to make one like that.

Thanks.

Well if it helps any I don't currently have any more Babbitt rasp to use. I'm always looking for them but seldom come across one. When I do, I buy it!
