Long about the wee AM hours of Monday (1 amish) I started getting chills. No biggie, other than not sleeping. I go to work and by 2 pm, I was dead to the world. Long story short, doc treated me for the flu. Popped a tamiflu at bed time and woke up feeling much better. Stayed home today, just to rest and feel like I'll be going to work tomorrow.

Tamiflu is the real deal.

Always wondered if it really worked as most don't get to the doc quick enough to use it. Glad you're feeling better. Lots of bad stuff going around,. I'm getting over a bad sinus infection myself.

I don’t think I had the flu last week but she treated it as I did. Tamiflu, Z-pack and some kind of brom-pse-dm cough medicine. Woke up 2 days later feelin’ good. I think I was just exhausted. I didn’t have stomach issues or any sinus issues. Just felt horrible and a 101.7 fever. Whatever helped, I’m thankful.

My son had it yesterday. Started tamiflu and today he’s about 80%.

It works, but you will still be contagious for 48 hours...I wouldn't go to work or you may pass it on.

I remember reading that you could nurse a cold, treat it and it would last you two weeks. Do nothing and it will last you 14 days.

Works for some and not others. Needs to be taken ASAP after symptoms start.

It's a waste of money for me.

We kept the 6 year old grandson after his mom took him to the doctor. They brought liquid Tamiflu. That was a real rodeo getting it down him.

Last year while in-house rehab I was taking one tamaflu a day for flu prevention. Thhey had several people in rehab with the flu. I had taken it when I had the Swind flue in I think 2008, it for sure lessened the effects but still did not feel good for 3 days and got the tamaflu within 9 hours of first symptoms

Son got flu, tested positive at doc and took Tamiflu by lunch and was fine next night. Cough lasted over a week but illness was not much at all. 102 fever for a few hours.. Said this years strain is weak. No one else caught it in house. I work in a building with folks crammed and no one is sick or coughing. Knock on wood.

Last year I knew several folks who almost died from it. One friend in his 40s spent week in med induced coma and month in hospital.

agree ... I had 3 people out last week with the flu and each of their doctors said they shouldn't go back to work until 24 hours after their fever broke un-medicated. I called our company nurse who also confirmed that. I told my people to not bring that into the office to share with the rest of us.

We had my 3 year old at the doc last week. Confirmed flu. His doc said he won't give kids the liquid Tamiflu because it will make them puke its so nasty. He prescribed the capsules and had us mix the powder into chocolate pudding for him. He was happy to take it, and bounced back quick.

interesting ... we had our 1.5 year old granddaughter last week with confirmed case of the flu on Monday, doctor prescribed liquid tamiflu for her, used a syringe to give it too her, the first time or two she wasn't having it but if we only squeezed the syringe a little at a time she took it pretty good.

I've had something for nearly 3 weeks. Coughing, runny nose, ect. Glad I'm retired.

I started taking flu shots every year after my last case of the flu and haven't seen it return.

I stopped getting colds once I started taking Metformin to get my blood sugar under control.

I used to get the flu every year shot or not, but it's been a lot better since i started Singulair for my allergies.
