If you're ever passing through Sherman, make time for this wildlife museum. Man, is this a hidden gem.
They're only open Friday-Sunday to the public. Monday-Thursday, they provide free tours to school children and have entertained about 70,000 kids so far.

It's a very cool place. I was there on opening weekend, somehow. And I think he harvested a lot of those animals, himself. If not all of them. He's an interesting guy, and plans on leaving the Scottish Right hospital, or another one, a LOT of money. He owned a few banks with a polar bear in it, not to mention lions and cheetahs and leopards and all kinds of cool animals. I met him at the local bow shop one day, picking up his brand new, latest greatest Matthew's bow. I don't think he's in very good health anymore...I don't know if he still hunts or not.

I graduated HS in Sherman and Lacy Harbor was somewhat of a living legend around those parts, known for booking LOADS of hunts every year, all around the world and I believe his wife hunted too.

That building where the museum is located, used to be the old Shoney's there in Sherman and I was glad to hear he decided to make a museum out of it. Besides hunting he was always a big supporter of the Grayson County livestock show and frequently attended the auctions.
