Houston and Austin get all the really unique INDEPENDENT restaurants. Dallas, Frisco, Plano, etc up here get all the CHAIN BS. SOS https://theturkeyleghut.com/

Houston does have a really good food scene, but just like up in Dallas once you get into the burbs is mostly all boring chains.

I have never had an oyster poboy, and I never met an oyster I didn’t eat. Do you eat it like a sandwich or pick out the oysters?

The Turkey Leg Hut is down the street from my house in Houston. Lines have scared me away from it in the past - might try to get there early one day to check it out.

Buzz, there are some good places not far from Frisco. Get out and find them. Here's 3, each a different style, off the top of my head. Barnlight Eatery
