3 feet thick frozen into a dense hard pack. Had to basically cut and pry it off in blocks. Supposed to get another 18 inches on Tuesday and 4 feet is the magic number that the roof can live with. ![[Linked Image]](https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7839/47054992611_ccaea28da5_b.jpg)

Growing up in Wisconsin, snow was a great source of income for me! Shoveled many roofs and driveways and sidewalks.

That looks like hard work, thank goodness you do not have a steep pitch on your roof so you can work on it. I guess one of these will not work or you would already have one?

I can count the number of times I have seen snow on 1 hand.
Snow/ice = slick from my limited experience. How are you standing on that roof without busting your azz and falling off?
