I have been considering the ATN X-Sight Series as a multi-use optic.

If it does everything it claims, it seems like a great value.

I am particularly interested in feedback regarding using it across platforms, i.e. on more than one rifle.

Also, how effective is it for hog hunting at night?

Thanks!

There have been many, many threads in this section talking about how much of a P.O.S. The X-Sight is.

If one were given to me for free, I'd bring along another rifle and scope, I could use the very second the X-Sight broke down. Add to that piss poor customer service, lacking correction of problems, and it is only a matter of time before they are under water.

ATN stopped supporting software updates for the original X-Sight. I threw mine straight in the trash.

Thanks for the direct feedback. This does seem to be a common thread.

Thanks for the input based on your actual experience. Poor customer service is a huge drawback.

I'll go against the grain here and give ATN a little credit... I had an X-Sight 2 HD that I got in 2017. I traded it recently (switched to thermal)... but it worked great for me for 2 years. It has its quirks and I have certainly heard of a number of issues with ATN products... but if you get one that works... they are a pretty good value. Can't say much about their customer service since I haven't had to use it.

An upgraded IR combined with the X-Sight 2 HD can clearly show a feeder at 100 yards. I upgraded to the Streamlight TAC IR. I've seen some videos of ATN X-Sight 4k combined with Sniper Hog Lights 66LRX that light up feeders at 200 yards with a clear view. Pretty impressive for the price.

I was tempted to get an ATN thermal based on my experience with the X-Sight. Too many threads with negative feedback surrounding ATN - scared me away. I ended up paying more and getting an Armasight. Damn thing crapped out within 24 hours of having it. Now it's in route back to FLIR for warranty work. So much for spending more and hoping to get a reliable optic smile

Been debating on getting another X-Sight to hold me over while it's in for warranty work. I regretted trading mine.

I am new to the sight but after reading comments and dealing with ATN on a failed unit I can't help but comment. There must be two monkies that you deal with. They offer products, quick turn around on repairs and quality. If you look at there video's you will find that the product being reviewed and the product in there video is different equipment.

Mine is the 3x14 and it works occasionally. Price is cheap and so is the product.
