I ate there once and remember it being pretty forgettable, but it’s been there a long time.

One thing on that menu is worth eating, and that is the rolls.

I’m sure there is a good place to eat there, you’ll just need to look through yelp and trip advisor.

Red Wagon for breakfast and lunch. Section Hand for lunch and dinner. Underwoods has good fried chicken, cobbler and rolls. Lemmon's barbecue for catfish on Friday. Tres Leches bakery has a good torta, tacos and pan dulce. Lemmon Grass on Coggin has delicious homemade Vietnamese food

Section hand and La Botana is where I ate at last time i was there. Both good.
I recommend taking the drive out to Valera and eat at Big O's at least once.

We ate at Studebaker’s in Brownwood and Hard 8 in Stephenville. Hard 8 had great sides, ribs were good and Jalapeño sausage was good, but the brisket was terrible. How can you be a Texas BBQ and serve terrible brisket. Staff was friendly and the manager tried very hard to make the terrible brisket right. So kudos to her for stepping up and trying to fix the situation.
At Studebaker’s I Had a bacon burger, battered fries and onion rings. Overall food was good to very good, fries could have been hotter, service was very prompt, staff was friendly and desert was killer. Desert was pecan cobbler with Blue Bell homemade vanilla. Did I say the desert was killer? If you’re looking for a solid burger and want to support local businesses I’d recommend this joint.

I don’t know how I forgot Studebakers. I eat there once a week. Good burgers, chicken livers and breakfast

I ate there once and remember it being pretty forgettable, but it’s been there a long time. It is very underwhelming. I've eaten there for convenience (used to stay at a hotel nearby). Rolls are great but the meat is iffy. Gives me an upset stomach each time I eat there. Breakfast buffet only available on weekends. Apart from the other places mentioned, the breakfast buffet at Skillets isn't too bad. Pretty extensive for the price. Their entrees for dinner are mediocre. Humphrey Pete's isn't too bad. Their steaks are on the lower end of quality, but they cook over mesquite which gives it a nice flavor.

The meal itself will be average at Underwoods but the rolls and cobbler make it worth it, IMO. If you go in thinking it's BBQ and try to compare it to such, you'll be disappointed. However, I've never eaten there that it wasn't at least decent, and you're not dropping $20 a person. Personally I like their beefsteak

Humphrey Pete's has pretty good burgers and cold beer. Okay CFS. Skillet buffet is okay. Underwood's is Underwhelming...If you want more than rolls and a small bowl of cobbler, go elsewhere. Section Hand is pretty good, not great, but at least local. La Botana - meh, but good margaritas. I prefer Mi Familia in Early Studebakers is pretty good - as mentioned above, good burgers
There used to be a Mexican restaurant on 377 near the cemetery that was horrid. It shut down a year of so ago - good thing, it was pretty bad. Also, the restaurant at Wild Ducks Marina has really good burgers. Not sure if opened year round, but pretty darned good.
