Finally. Sighted it in at 100 and as soon as it warms up a bit we’ll see if the CDS is accurate at 200 to 500. I have to admit that it saddened me to take the Vortex Viper 4-16 PST FFP off it.

In for the review

I think you’ll fine it accurate/holds zero, but you may have to move the stop marks a few clicks from what the ballistics chart says (even with your ammo input) to tailor it exactly to your rifle/conditions. Which is what makes that system much better than BDC.

Went to the stand this afternoon. No pigs showed up, but a few deer did. So when it got pretty dim, I put the crosshairs on a doe and then turned on the firedot. That’s a very bright scope, which is great, and you can turn down the firedot till it’s barely visible. Now all I need is a pig in dim light.

Any more info on this scope? Considering it for my elk gun...looking for real world experiences not what the adverts say.

Reliability, clarity, durability....any issues so far?

Buckeye, I like it so far, but haven’t had it on the gun long enough to develop any worthwhile opinion. All I have so far is that I like the firedot, I’m prepared to like the CDS, the scope is real bright, and the glass (to me) seems very sharp. One thing mine does not have is any sort of wind ‘adjustment’ on the reticle.

Now that it quit raining for a while, maybe I can take it out to the hay field and see if the CDS is on for various distances.
