The stuff advertised on craigslist is liquid calcium (Bio-Liquid Calcium), not lime.
Their claim " Calcium neutralizes soil acidity " is simply not true.
What's funny is one of their supposed endorsements comes from No Till Farmer.
In reality --->
No Till FarmerAnother supposed endorser is John Deere which they clearly do not endorse the product.
Powdered ag lime or pelletized lime is what you want.
Actual liquid lime is rarely cost effective considering 50% of it will be water so effective neutralizing factor is reduced per weight.
If it were me I'd spread the correct amount of pelletized lime now, yes it will slowly leach into the soil, when you disc or disturb top 2" - 4" to replant in spring it will still be viable & buffer as intended as long as you calculate application rate correctly.
