Hey HWY_MAN, are you letting it automatically edit the photo or are you adjusting the exposure or sharpness yourself? I am still definitely in the learning stages of photography.

That's pretty dang impressive! Did you initially spot it with the camera, or something else?

Mmmm Hmmm

Sometimes I do it automatically and fine tune the color, light and clarity. The auto feature seems to come out a little over exposed.

Just seen it when I was driving by, kind of thought it might be there or close. It's been hunting ducks on the pond in the picture.

Man that camera reaches way out there.

Given that you've had your hands on both, would you say the P1000 is worth the extra cost over the P900? My furthest shot would probably only be 5-600 yards. I know the 1000 is a better camera in many ways, just don't know if it's roughly 2x cost better.

im very anxious to hear an educated reply to Shotguns question comparing the p900 to the p1000. My friend bought the 900 and I couldn't believe they made a camera that zoomed that far and was so small and to me very inexpensive for what you get. So I bought the 1000. Havent hardly used it at all but it zooms soooooo far its unbelievable. I will soon do side by side comparison with the 900 and 1000 but until then im curious what any may know about how they compare. Im kinda like Shotgun in that im not sure if the pics at a half mile or mile or important enough for most hunters. Besides the cost difference the size and bulk and weight is very significant between the two at least when packing all other hunting gear. I am a complete NOVICE at photography. Would love to get better but don't see myself spending the time or effort for awhile. I assume none of the so called "superzoom" cameras are going to be real high quality images. My use of the camera is to document/identify as many bucks on the large lease im on to help manage the place by using pics to age and score bucks and to help put guys on the right deer. Bottom line, any thoughts on comparing the 900 to 1000 would be appreciated.

It's more than just zoom, different features and larger optic's.
