Here is an idea if anyone has to store their collection for any period of time.

Took two 4x4's, two 5 gallon buckets and two 50 lb bags of concrete. Pretty stable and was far more efficient on space. Need to make 1 more tree to hang the rest of my mounts but I'm pretty happy with it so far.

yes......these ones work but they are a tad tippy.

Cattle Tubs would have been a much better option

Should have asked me when you were down here and I would have given you a couple.

I had all my mounts in storage for about 4 mounts while I built my house I’m living in. The side walls had perlins I mounted 4x4s with self tappin screws. Then a few one bys. Worked pretty good, deer, Africa mounts etc. pretty easy to clean up when it come time to clean out storage/move.

Thanks, Billy

I wish I had a picture, but a buddy of mine did something similar but he used a metal tub base and a portion of a real tree trunk. Yours looks really good too.

Cut a 55 gallon barrel in half, it would be a lot more stabile.

Good idea
My brother stored his mounts with his furniture while his house was being built and mice got to them. I am not not certain what the best way to handle that is, but it is something else to consider.

Moth balls and rat bait stations.
