I got a P1000 at end of deer season and didn't use it a lot but its amazing. Ive got a buck pic at 1000 yds and you can easily see a 1" point.
At some point in life its time to quit chasing the pot of gold and just enjoy the rainbow. FR Keep your gratitude higher than your expectations. RWH

I still have lots to learn but having fun trying it out. The pheasant shots are through a not so clean bedroom window and a wire fence. According to google earth measuring tool, these coyotes are at 1 mile away from where I was standing. The Yote in the back looks big.

The farther out you zoom the less auto focus you have available (A change I'd like to see fixed in the next camera) so try and keep it within reason. Make sure you have a good rest or better a good tripod when taking the long shot's. Zoom less and you'll get a better quality photo that you can crop and enhance. While they have image stabilizer a solid rest is important, it's amazing how much we move just pulling the trigger. Don't know if you have the Blue Tooth but it makes some shots allot easier, set up and stand away, take the shot when available. This works great for hummingbirds on a feeder, moon shots or the days when the light is giving you fits due to clouds.
Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.
