on another post some mentioned their honda big red and how much of a beast it still is after all theses years. Will or does Honda's SXS ever be like the the big red? I drove a big red 1 or 2 times. Beast for sure especially back then.

That’s funny, I’ve driven a BigRed since 2012 and thought it was a turd. My Kawasaki Teryx runs laps around it in every ascpect except bed space.

The new ones are a completely different design, haven’t heard anything bad about them and really like the idea of an auto style transmission vs the CVT belts every other maker uses. The ability to manually shift is the best thing ever in a SxS

I have had a big red since 2010, and would not trade it for a brand new sxs of any brand except another honda. If you want one for mud riding, or going fast pick a different brand. But if you want one that will work every day and never give you any trouble, get a honda. I wish you could select a gear, but it never struggles with gear. Has plenty of power, 800 lbs of corn in the bed and any hill is easy to go up.. I have pulled a 20 foot trailer all around my place with tons of weight on it. No issues. If I ever get grandkids I will buy a new pioneer but only because of the extra seats. Other than that I would keep my big red forever. I honestly would not trade mine for a brand new Polaris, kawaskai, john deere, or any other brand.

X2. Mine is a 2011 and has been used. Was involved with a 5000 acre game ranch for about 8 years. Had to get hunters to their stands in Sulphur River black gumbo and back. If they didn't make a DRT shot, it was used to get to the kill thru the woods.

Huntingdude, The Big Red spoken of in most cases today is a SxS.

Oh, he talking about the old 3wheeler.

I am talking about this one. I think it is way tougher than the old ones. I had a 110 back in 1985, and it was tough, but this thing is awesome.

That pic was taken in 2010. It does not look like that now. Not sure I have any current pics of it.

I have a pioneer 1000 and love it. It is smooth riding, quiet and powerful. The thing I really love is the room in the cab compared to all of the other ones and I looked at them all.
