Everyone likes seeing Big 8s, so thought I would share. This was killed by a good friend of mine's brother in KS. cyclo cyclo cyclo

One of the biggest free range 8's I've ever seen. Any guesses on score? grin

I get 176 but the numbers don't matter. Just an amazing 8 point!

You aren't giving him enough credit. Inside spread was 25"

I am sure I am short on beam length also from those photos. I gave him 23" IS. And my score guess looked low to me but went with it anyway. Those head on photos are difficult to see much to score by other than guesses.

If it's any consolation, you were waaaaaaaay closer than Jon and Dave!

Well I would have guessed Jon would be way off since he can't guess anything without a rangefinder. grin But Dave is usually pretty close.
I gave this buck 26" MB(hard for me to judge beams), 36" of mass(which looks low) and 23" IS. 7" brows, 14 and 13 on 2's and 10 and 11 on 3's. I allowed some on the low guess in case I was over on his beams.
Post up the actual score numbers so I can see where I was low. Learning experience for all of us. I always want to be low on a guess so they grow when I get to them. I am usually 6" low on almost all the typical looking bucks on my guesses. grin

I gave him 26 MB's too. 40" of mass but only 20" inside. 13" combined on the brows. 14 on the 2's 12 and 11 on his threes for 176. I'd be interested to know his true score too.

True score was 178 7/8's. I don't remember all the measurements. I know mass was over 40". I think the bases were 8" or more. I might be wrong on that. They were waiting for it to dry for an official score. I'll try to get those numbers when it's done and update the post.

Regardless of score it was impressive to me.

From what I've heard his rangefinder is not calibrated or something because it's off too bolt

No doubt a big deer.

Wonder if the photographer is part bass fisherman too? all those pictures lend themselves to being deceptive to me just the angles they are taken always makes you second guess what you think your seeing. I would have way shorted him looks like.

Thank you. Like I said earlier, the numbers really don't matter. One helluva deer

If that deer has 8 inch bases then that kid holding it hands make Kawhi Leonard's look small...
