All...I have a 2017 GMC crew cab 4 wheel drive and I am wanting to put a lift on it. 4” max height and I was hoping for some advice as to which brand or style is the best? Again I want a smooth ride if at all possible. Currently I have the Bilstein 5100 series shocks and realize the fronts probably can stay (depending on lift) but would have to add different bilsteins for the rear. 4Wheel parts in Plano recommend the Fabtech??

Appreciate the advise.

Change out rear leafs for Deaver’s, and run 17/18 in rims w/ 35+ tires and keep psi 45/40.

With out going to a long travel kit in front the above is what I would do. You get what you pay for on lifts the icon stage 5 is a good 3” lift

Why the 17:18” rims? (I do want to go down to an 18” but my reason is as astetics) is there a ride significance?

More sidewalk with smaller rims gives more cushion. It’s been a while since I looked for a 35 inch tire for a half ton, but there wasn’t many options for anything other than load range E that wasn’t just a pure off road tire. Kid range E on a 20 inch wheel with short side walls can make for a harsh ride.

Good to see you are staying away from spacers and blocks. More sidewall on the 18s should provide a smoother ride than the 20s. I wanted 18s on my truck but 18s came with an all season tire and the 20s came with BFG KO2s. The tires were more important to me than the wheel size.
