Never seen one with the American West Windmill Company Amarillo Tx Markings. Company went through several ownership changes since 1892 We have 5 towers still up but not working for many years. They are all marked AEROMOTOR. My dad told me they were sold through Amarillo Hardware and made in Chicago at that time. The owner of company helped during WW2 with development of the Norden Bombsite We went with Greenbelt water out of Clarendon Tx. In the 70s. Thanks for the feedback guys. The links are very interesting. I've tried B&W photos in the past and never cared for my results but this one I thought was worth sharing.
OBTW I took the photo a few miles SW of San Angelo on public land.
