I prepared a 30 minute PowerPoint presentation on why you should always use proper protection when having sex

All the slides were pictures of him.

With both of our children their mom and I always made comments to that effect when we would be watching tv shows that had sexual or teen pregnancies subjects, so they were not blind sided.
When I had my sit down with my son around age 12 it covered all topics, I told it like it is and he handled it well.

All I got was "If you're not in bed my midnight son, just come on home."


All kidding aside - I don't recall ever getting a "talk"

My dad's talk consisted of one sentence on the subject: "Son, I never did anything that I ever regretted." He forced me to engage my brain and figure it out myself. Both my parents did engrain in me that the boy has just as much responsibility as the girl, a concept that a lot of my classmates that played on the state champion 5A football team did not possess.
