Well, I was following a post on Texas Quail Hunters on Facebook. The post was about 2 female Brittany’s found. Help me find the owners. The post stated that they were wearing tritronic collars when found. Someone suggested to call Garmin and see if the collars were registered. So the person that found the dogs did. Garmin said the collars were registered but would not share the info or take the rescuers info to pass along to the owners.

I know Garmin isn’t a rescue group but I would think that a phone call placed to the owners would be a tremendous advertisement showing how much they care about customers.

The dogs were United with their owners by the power of social media but it could of been resolved sooner.

Did Garmin miss out on a huge marketing deal or do you think the person calling just got a bone head customer service rep.

The world is a hard place to be now, much less having to put up with idiots like the Garmin employee was.

Yea, Garmin needs to rethink that policy.

...but who runs dogs without a collar that has a name and phone number?

We all need to practice Whoa more.

More than likely theres some legal issues there garmin does not want to deal with. Still would be awesome if they would at least pass that along

People do, picked up a cow dog on the highway the other day with a sport dog gps and no call number.
Finally left the dog at a ranch headquarters where they sed they thought they knew where the dog was from.
