I am screwing around with a homebrew recorder, it is recording video just fine but I need to wire up a microphone for audio. If you don't like music turn the volume down - otherwise enjoy some pig popping with tunes On night 1 the hogs seemingly showed no signs of being pressured, half that walked into the field didn't walk out. By night 2 they were much more leery and thus the kill count was much less. I figured the gun malfunction was due to having the gas bleed off set too aggressively, I added a bit more gas for night 2 and it didn't repeat - i will monitor. I was VERY impressed with the AR-10 308 Winchester, 6 of 7 hogs were Dead Right There with little to no attempt at getting back on their feet. This is an old handload of mine using a now discontinued bullet - but it is MUCH like the Federal Fusion bullet.

People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf

Nice going all around! I keep waffling back and forth between my AR-10 (.308, heavy, lotsa wallop) and my 300 Blackout (lighter, but less Oomph!). One of these days I'll make up my mind — maybe … Meanwhile, Keep After 'Em!
I have two unwritten rules: 1. 2.

I’ve been through the same mental dilemma between 308 and 6.5 Grendel from a weight and energy standpoint. On the current 308 I used lightweight BCG and handguard with a medium profile barrel and its right at 8.4 lbs empty. The market is really starting to mature in lighter weight component for AR-10s....
